Discover the Magic of Bees - Up Close and Personal
Looking for something truly special to do - or a thoughtful gift that will be remembered?
Our Bee Discovery Experience invites you to explore the fascinating world inside a working beehive, guided by a passionate local beekeeper in beautiful North Oxfordshire. An immersive experience into the heart of the hive.
Nestled on the edge of the Cotswolds in the peaceful village of Tadmarton, our apiary overlooks open fields and wildflower meadows. In our dedicated beekeeping log cabin we begin with a short introduction over a drink and get suited up ready to meet the bees.
Your Experience
You'll open the hive and spot the workers, drones and of course the Queen. Learn how to gently handle the frames of bees, brood & honey, and discover how the colony works. Watch the hive come to life -from waggle dances to pollen gathering - and experience the scents, sounds and hum of the extraordinary and industrious honeybee colony. up close.
When your curiosity at the hives is satisfied, we return to the cabin for honey tasting. Sample our premium single-apiary Oxfordshire honeys, each with its own distinct seasonal character. Served with Greek yoghurt and warm toast, it's a delicious way to appreciate the bees' work and the flowers & landscape they forage.

Protective suits make the risk of stings very low, but the Bee Discovery Experience isn't suitable for anyone with a severe bee-sting allergy.
